Great-Lakes Wildflower Seed Mixture – Open-Pollinated, Non-Treated Seeds
Bring the natural beauty of the Great Lakes region to your garden with this carefully selected Great-Lakes Wildflower Seed Mixture. Designed to thrive in the unique climate and soil conditions of the area, this blend features a vibrant mix of native and naturalized wildflowers that attract pollinators, support biodiversity, and provide a stunning display of color from spring to fall.
Here’s something fun for you—this mix has some of my absolute favorite wildflowers! It’s called the Great Lakes Wildflower Blend, and it’s packed with a mix of annuals, biennials, and perennials. Basically, it’s got flowers that keep coming back, plus some that pop up quickly to give you color right away.
What’s really cool? Every plant in here is a native to the Great-Lakes region—so if you’re anywhere from Lake Manitoba to the great State of NY or Southern Quebec to Chicago IL, these beauties are right at home. No invasive species, just pure, local charm.
Some of the stars in this mix? Black-Eyed Susans (so bright and cheerful), Butterfly Milkweed (hello, monarch butterflies!), and Purple Coneflowers (classic and tough as nails). You also get New England Asters for those late-season blooms and Lance-Leaf Coreopsis, which looks like sunshine in flower form.
And get this—Dwarf Evening Primrose even grows wild here! Can you imagine that?
Easy to grow, great for pollinators, and absolutely stunning in any wild garden meadow. Do you have a spot for a little wildflower ecosystem? Even a sunny patch in your backyard could work.
So, what do you think? Ready to bring some wild beauty to your garden?

Recommended to mix with something like sand or vermiculite to help spread the seed evenly. Some of these seeds do best if stratified. Can be spread in the early cold spring when we still have cold nights or in late fall as the snow begins to fall and cover them for a long winter nap.
One thing to keep in mind—some areas have local rules about planting certain seeds, so it’s always good to check. In Canada, the Invasive Species Centre has great info if you’re curious.
