How to Grow:
Sowing Time:
- Spring: Early May through mid-June
- Fall: Mid-September through late October (allows for natural winter stratification)
- Early Spring: Late March through early April (natural stratification for dormant seeds)
Site Preparation:
- Remove weeds by hand or use an organic non-selective herbicide.
- Loosen soil to a depth of 1" (2.5 cm) with a stiff rake, cultivator, or hoe.
- Ensure the seedbed is well-drained and loose, rather than dense or compacted.
Sowing Instructions:
- Broadcast the seed evenly over the prepared seedbed.
- Mix smaller seeds with dry sand for better distribution.
- Let natural forces (rain, snow, frost-heaving) work the seeds into the soil.
- Irrigate as needed through the first growing season.
Embrace the beauty and ecological benefits of native wildflowers in your garden with this specially curated seed mixture.
